I found Ayelet somewhat randomly through Yelp and Google searches, but after interviewing a handful of potential therapists, my instincts told me she was the right fit and I'm so glad I listened. Having done plenty of therapy in the past, I know what works for me and what doesn't, and working with Ayelet over the course of several months helped me make meaningful progress on some very specific emotional blocks.
Ayelet is incredibly intuitive. She has a gift for listening deeply and then synthesizing our conversations into practical, thoughtful exercises and homework that helped me go further into self-reflection. Her questions often went straight to the heart of the matter, sometimes uncovering perspectives I hadn't considered or helping me connect present-day challenges with past experiences in a way that felt clarifying and healing. These reflections gave me a broader and deeper way to understand what I was moving through.
If you're looking for a therapist who is insightful, warm, spiritually grounded, and skillful in helping you move through what's holding you back--I'd wholeheartedly recommend Ayelet.

Ayelet's counseling has been a gift for my partner and my relationship. We approached her with some thorny unresolved relationship tensions and she's been able to help us feel heard and to see the tradeoffs in our own ways of being. She's perceptive and empathetic, methodical and direct. She's got a powerful catalog of of therapeutic practices to draw from, while never feeling like a session is just routine. Plus, she's a funny, fun, and warm person to spend time with. Highly recommended!

We found Dr Krieger through friend recommendations. My husband and I are both super communicators, highly independent, and have a deep love for each other. However, after having a child, it became clear that we needed to better align some of the ways we approach things to provide consistency in the household. In addition to helping us with those initial alignment quests, Dr Krieger has now also helped us navigate the difficulties of our origin families being difficult, and helped us level up our game in how we communicate when things are difficult.
Dr Krieger always respects us, respects our relationship, and helps us better respect each other. She does this through reframing issues, asking insightful questions, and just getting us to slow down a bit.
I think you'll also get along well with her if you're already self aware and practiced at navigating difficulty, but want to level up your game. If you think deeply about how to be a reasonable human in the world, and how to best take care of yourself and others, she'll help you past any plateau you may have reached.

I first came to Ayelet to work through severe anxiety and panic attacks. I had bounced around different therapists in the past, none of whom made much of a difference in my condition. Ayelet has given me the tools to manage my anxiety and stop a panic attack at the beginning stages. She has also helped me work through relationship issues and offered a grounded perspective in my interpersonal issues. She is warm, calming, yet to-the-point and effective. She is extremely knowledgable and it is obvious she is well-educated in her field. She has been more effective than other therapists I've worked with because she actually teaches you tools and leads you to solutions. If that's what you're looking for in a therapist, she is a great fit.

My partner and I began counseling earlier this year not to have someone directly mediate our relationship, but to teach us the tools to do so ourselves and that is exactly what we have experienced with Ayelet. With her guidance, we have developed our communication skills quickly and as a result improved the quality of our relationship. The tools and homework provided are actionable while the sessions are directed, empathetic and nonjudgmental. I have had experience with counseling in the past and my partner had not, and she really made us both comfortable from the beginning. In my experience, that is rare and she quickly picked up on the best approaches for us as individuals and working together.

I first found Dr Krieger when my sister- also a psychologist- told me to quit messing around with less trained professionals. She said it really was actually insulting to her that I'd watched her spend seven years getting a doctorate and then picked social workers and MFTs. No disrespect to those professionals, but, as my sister put it, I have a really stubborn brain and I need someone highly trained to help me tame its demons. It took me further into Google search results than I've ever been- page 6!
I started working with her for support with my anxiety in the wake of the then (still) breathtakingly unbelievable Trump win. I've had an anxiety disorder my whole life and I started getting inadequate professional support as soon as I outgrew my skeptical mother's control of my healthcare access. I've had decent, ok, good, I'm -sure-they're-good-for-someone-else, and ineffective mental health professionals. Seeing Dr Krieger was a game changer. It was kind of like when you take an inadequate dose of medicine. Maybe it helps a little. The placebo effect is powerful. But then you get the right dose and are like Ohhhhhh, THIS is what they've been talking about. Any space to face your big questions with a listener to keep you on track, who does not judge, and isn't in your personal life is useful. A pro who knows how to guide you and direct your inquiry and offer tools, discard ones that don't help, try again. That's a life changing gift. In sum, I feel super resourced around those disorders. It's not gone. It won't go. But I have so many more tools to keep afloat.
In our sessions, she's always goal oriented. What are we working on, what do you want to get out of it, are you getting that, here's your homework. She also offers options and suggestions and observations and gives me space to contemplate them and discard what rings hollow and dig in with what I find useful.
Professionally, I do emotional labor and it's exhausting on so many levels. Ayelet has been super helpful to me in sorting through why I do this work, what alternatives I have, and in having day to day peace with the overwhelming systemic failures that are heartbreaking when we discuss them in the news and in politics, but devastating when we are in them.
Now as I slide towards my midlife crisis, we are working on all that reflecting on your life after you've committed to the major choices. These degrees. This marriage. No children. This career. This house. Putting it so bluntly sounds grim, but I love my choices. I'm happy here. It's more about starting to contemplate what's next. It's spiritual. I have the plates, the cars, the bills on autopay, the retirement account on autoinvest. I've sorted my shit. Every distraction of survival. I am left unavoidably face to face with my demons and my soul.
She's wicked smart and has expertise and tools that seem to me to come from so many disciplines. She has a classical psychological education and also integrates wisdom from eastern and western spirituality, and various paths of accessing and nurturing the links between our mental health and our physical body, and our place in the universe. She can be woo when that works and a science nerd when that works. She's brilliant.
She's the best gift I give myself and everyone who interacts with me.

Ayelet is THE BEST therapist I have ever worked with. She's created her own therapy playbook and it's not like anything I've worked with before. She blends old and cutting edge modalities and has a large box of tools that she works with to break through to the things that need healing.

My partner and I spent months searching for a compatible couples therapist. We were seeking external guidance to help us deepen our relationship. Right from the get-go, I was drawn to Dr. Krieger's warm personality, thoughtful questions, and profound insights. Several sessions later, I can confidently say that she has consistently met my partner and I where we are emotionally, both individually and as a couple. She encourages us to suggest topics we'd like to cover in each session, and then guides us while providing feedback and valuable techniques. She also shares notes taken during the session with us, allowing us to review them anytime. If you're looking for a therapist with a great mix of professionalism, kindness, and intuition to - most importantly - effect real change, I would highly recommend Dr. Krieger.

Everyone needs Ayelet as a therapist. She has a way of resourcing me with tools that have immediate impact on myself and everyone else around me! I first visited to get support on my marriage and she has helped me make remarkable progress with all of my relationships. Most importantly my relationship with myself. I have found that the work I am doing with her impacts every aspect of my mental and physical health. One important example is her guidance in tending to and addressing my worry mindset which had a strangle hold on me and those that love me. She communicates in a way that is easy to understand and gives you specific work with support you can use to find safety, joy and peace. Above all I feel motivated and empowered in working with her. She brings magic to her profession.
